This week my brain is in a covid fog, so a full newsletter will have to wait until next week alas. Instead, I thought Iâd share an ongoing experiment to generate new feelings with the help of GPT-3 text generation.

Can you tell which of the examples below are human-created and which are AI-generated? Have you ever felt any of these? Now that you know about them can you relate?
That feeling when you text your crush and they text back
That feeling when you didn't study at all for an exam and still passed it
That feeling when youâre on the 100th listen of a song you just discovered and the lyrics are now slowly turning you into itâs main character

That feeling when today is not your day
That feeling when you can't fall asleep and your brain starts firing on all cylinders, but you still can't
That feeling when you look back and realize you're handling life much better than your old self would have
That feeling when you see that the city you live in is going to be covered in snow
That feeling when you just found out that you've been lied to about something, and the person who lied to you is the only person who can fix it
That feeling when you hear a song you know and love but donât know the lyrics to
